I love that statement it’s what I needed to hear right now. You are right. I always chide myself for writing so honestly, there is a voice in my head that says ‘oh they are going to think you are a gushing attention-seeking hydra’ but I agree so much with you that it is right to tell the truth – not so much easy at times but the right thing anyway excellent work
Thanks again…true, sometimes it is not easy to tell the truth, but don’t listen to the voice that tells you what others might think. I would think that you are the kind of person who writes from your heart and your emotions, you write from your experiences and perspectives, and if they embrace the truth then it comes out naurally. An issue like women’s equality has to be addressed, over and over again, until, hopefully someday there will no longer be inequality. I never hesitate to write about something that I know needs to be addressed, because the truth always finds a way to express itself. I think you are the same kind of writer, the kind that feels a desire to “tell it like it is” when it needs to be told…
I am a confessional writer, sometimes that embarrasses me because I think I should be more, but truthfully there is nothing more than writing the truth – either of yourself or others. I’m never going to be writing about unrelated stuff, it’s always related, so I hear you and I thank you for both your support of me and your own words and voice. It is common now for men to support women but there are still many who do not, for whatever reason and I love that you do, you are in your own right such a talented writer and I feel very glad to know you here my friend
It took me a little while to reply to your comment this time because I wanted to read a bit more of your work. You have a very refreshing, original and unique style. As many of your followers comment, you are one very talented writer. Most writers have an element of confession in their work, after all, they are expressing their observations and feelings. Nothing to be embarrassed about. When I was younger, it came easier, it flowed more. These days I sometimes really struggle, and am rarely satisfied with what comes out. With you, on the other hand, it just seems to pour out in a wonderful stream of feeling and imagery. I thank you for your kind words, and believe me, I am amazed at your talent and your many sided perspectives.
