A PARIS MOMENT – HÔTEL ESMÉRALDA

 

JUST AROUND THE CORNER FROM KILOMETER ZERO IN PARIS

 

This is a small one star hotel offering a non-luxurious atmosphere and cozy rooms, literally in the very center of Paris on the Rue Saint-Julien le Pauvre, just around the corner from Shakespeare and Co. and directly across from Notre Dame. In your room you can hear the Cathedral’s bells when they ring. The building it is located in dates to 1640. I’ve never stayed there myself, but every time I walk by it I think that, for someone visiting for just a few days, it would be ideal. People who have stayed there have given it good reviews. I thought it looked very warm and inviting on the night that I took this photo…
