A PARIS MOMENT – CREATIVE GRAFFITI AND STREET ART

THE WORK OF JEFF AÉROSOL – JIM MORRISON THE END

An early pioneer in street art, Jef Aérosol began his artistic career in 1982 in Tours, France. His street art and gallery paintings are exhibited all over the world. He is known as both a stencil master and a master of the art of portraiture. His iconic portraits encompass the famous and the ordinary, but all are created in the light of his passionate commitment to show the truth, much like a great photographer captures the authenticity of a moment in time. Here is his rendering of Jim Morrison, who came to Paris in 1971 to escape his Dionysus Rock God image but in dying in Paris cemented that image forever in the eyes of the public and started a permanent party at his grave site in the Pére Lachaise cemetery. I don’t think he would approve of the party. He went to Paris to find peace, and I guess in a way he did.
